The emotion that I felt when they sang 'ole ole ole ole' was spectacular!!!! for me it was a precious song and so near the Latin American hearing, especially for the Argentineans like I! I cried when they touched 'The scientist', i love that song so so much, means a lot for me in my life! My birthday was the 25/02 and this was the best celebration! I am so so happy, thanks Chris Martin, thanks Coldplay to give the best gift of birthday ever!!!!

Coldplay in Buenos Aires: Amor Amarillo

Always emotive and epic, the English quartet River filled the stadium with great songs and a unique visual display.

As in love, we like to go little by little, slowly, "said Chris Martin at the checkered press conference at the Hotel Faena, during Coldplay's first visit to Argentina. With that revelation, the singer was trying to explain the reason why his band was playing in the intimacy of a theater, rather than in a typical arena rock. So if that initiatory approach had been a kiss and a hand that came down the belt, this second visit was passion and sex.

With a live dynamic and spectacular feature, the British landed a second time in Buenos Aires, carrying in his luggage overweight fireworks, laser beams, balloons, confetti, lights and other devices. Before and way of preamble, the Banda de Turistas offers a set resounding ovations and left. As a greeting, in their dressing rooms received two bottles of wine and a note signed by the Fab Four.

As he neared the time of the main stars and the expectation grew, Bat For Lashes made its appearance. Love in a skin-deep sensitivity and a song that oozes mystery, Natasha Khan moved his voice like a wolf in heat, in an exercise that he ties to Björk. Accompanied by a trio of keyboard, guitar and drums, the English rock celebrity novel danced among tribal rhythms and signed a so ethereal and magical show. The hope to see soon.

Without further ado and with a flurry that gave his playing epic (if needed!), Coldplay River lit up the night with sparklers in their hands and "Life in Technicolor" on the speakers, showing the outset that it would not be an evening common in the history of the multitudinous readings recorded in Argentina. Leaving aside all the trappings and visual coup, his songs have a melodic impact shocking. They do not show the arrogance of Oasis, and Martin has the charisma of Bono. On stage, most rock stars seem sensible four university they want to like your mom. Y con eso les alcanza. And that hits them.

So the band goes to the heart with "Clocks" "In My Place" and that is redemptive ballad "Yellow", an interpretation which marked one of the peaks of the concert, reaching its climax as dozens of giant yellow balloons bounced between the crowd. In that vein, the deafening counterpoint between Chris and the 60,000 souls singing this "Lights will guide you to your home, turn on your bones and I'll try to fix you" ( "Fix You"), magnified the card sharper than it was, is and will the stadiums rock. Needless to mention when it asked Martin to set off a wave cellular and carry with them when Michaerl honor Jackson "Billie Jean" from the catwalk and three guitars. Emotional.

Noting this map, maybe Alan McGee (fans of the Gallagher brothers, googling his name) has right to shoot that malicious about that catchphrase "Coldplay makes music for kids who pee in bed". But ... What is sin that, if the group hiding in their pockets gems as "The Hardest Part", "Speed of Sound," Lovers in Japan "or" The Scientist "? Almost an epiphany of what is the history of rock germinated in the UK. Love, hate.

So while the sky was opening for Martin, Jon Buckland (aprendidito has well illustrated the Manual The Edge), Guy Berryman and Will Champion (elegance and power to stand behind your battery), the moon was mixed with all the balloons ready at each point of the monumental and the audience received all that came from above with the impression that it was another night in which a foreign artist comes to perform, safe passes and leaves.

With its ramshackle movements, the husband of Gwyneth Paltrow covered every corner of the stage, it transpired, he tried to speak Spanish (many times with success and good diction) and even pushed his teammate to premiere a song they had composed in a hotel in Tokyo Japan. In short, Coldplay justified every penny of the value of the input (output until the free CD with live footage!) With a show that will be remembered for many years. Yes, as is, as the love that begins slowly.

Spectacular, fascinating, exciting, unforgettable are the words that best describe what I experienced myself and another 49,000 people on Friday 26 February.

The dream began at approximately 21:20 pm the rhythm of Life in Technicolor I, followed by Violet Hill. The dream began at approximately 21:20 pm the rhythm of Life in Technicolor I, followed by Violet Hill.

And so: I saw the best British band of the millennium just two meters away. I could see the dots of the recently shaved beard Chris and Guy, I saw the faces of all with perfect clarity, I saw Chris's blue eyes so close ... As for repertoire, I can not complain, although I would have liked them to play Amsterdam, Swallowed in the sea and Shiver (who sang it in Brazil, grr), the organization and order of songs was perfect.

The songs on Viva la Vida broke it, especially Violet Hill, Lovers in Japan, Viva la Vida, Death And All His Friends and Life in Technicolor II, which wowed everyone.

The audience sang Yellow craved (and the VIP area by touching one of the yellow balls floating in the hands of all), was moved to tears with Fix you (me, for example) and The Scientist, sang and jumped up cause an earthquake with classics such as In My Place, Clocks and Politik.

The show deserves 6 stars on a scale of 5: the play of light, the pictures on the screens, the paper butterflies Lovers in Japan (I grabbed a lot), the tribute to Michael Jackson, Don Quixote (the song that wrote to Latin America), and Left, Right, Left, Right, Left, the souvenir CD of the concert.

Besides all, I laughed a lot with Chris and his Spanish phrases such as "The izquierdd of those of the deresh", and even more taken with the cries of some people, such as "I amooooooooooooooo" (with tremendous male voice, very ball), "Jonny Jesuuuuuuuus (taaanto worship!) and" God quedateeeee! " (the one that yelled at Chris was the same as Jesus called out to Jonny, I guess that Guy is the Virgin Mary, and Will the Holy Spirit).

Well, I think there is enough words or description that serves to tell what happened in those two hours, those who were there can attest to it.

It only remains to thank Coldplay to fulfill my dream in just two wonderful hours and ask them to come back soon, because I miss them a lot.

Last Friday I attended Coldplay's concert at River Plate's stadium on their "Viva La Vida" tour.

I expected a depressing concert with basically a band on stage and not much else, like Oasis does. Boy was I wrong! Amazing stage, fireworks, lasers, giant yellow balloons, rain of multicolored paper butterflies, lots of running through the runways by the whole band, etc...

The show lasted for 110 minutes and included most of Coldplay hits, the most notorious absence being the songs "Trouble" from "Parachutes" and "Speed of Sound" from "X&Y".

At 9.20 PM the lights of the stadium went out and through the speakers sounded "Life In Technicolor", the instrumental that opens their latest album, "Viva la Vida".

The first song Coldplay played was "Violet Hill", from "Viva La Vida", an album that was a big success here and it showed for the 60,000 present in the audience would sing along to every tune.

Chris Martin looked a little drunk, in a festive mood, and sang his guts out. He also spoke in Spanish a lot. The rest of the band played great too.

The audience went nuts with "In My Place" and "Clocks", both hits from "A Rush Of Blood To The Head", Coldplay's second album, but the first real explosion in the night came with "Yellow". Beautiful lightning, yellow lasers and balloons filled the audience.

Mr. Martin looked surprised at how loud the Argentinean audience would sing claiming with the common demagogy "Everyone says Buenos Aires is the best audience in the world, and they're right".

More songs from "Viva La Vida" were followed by another highlight of the night, the song "Fix You" that had the audience singing the chorus. Probably most had no idea what the words meant, but everyone was singing them: "Lights will guide you home and ignite your bones And I will try to fix you"

"Strawberry Swing", a Tom Petty-like song from Coldplay's last album was followed by the first "runway" set, where the band got together at the end of one of the runways and played a remix version of "God Put A Smile Upon Your Face", "Talk" and an emotional version of "The Hardest Part" by Chris Martin alone on the piano. He dedicated the song to his dad.

2 other highlights of the night was "Viva La Vida", another song that had the audience singing even after it was over. It was followed by "Lost", another singalong from "Viva La Vida".

The band moved to the second runway while "Singing in the rain" was playing through the speakers. There they performed an acoustic set in which the drummer, Will Champion, took the lead vocals for "Death Will Never Conquer". A

After a "Cell phone wave" that was a thrill to see and was suggested by Chris Martin, the band played a hilarious version of Michael Jackson's "Billy Jean". The audience gladly clapped and sang along.

A new song not yet released was performed before the band moved back to the main stage and finished their main set with "Politik" and 2 songs from "Viva La Vida": a powerful "Lovers In Japan" that included an explosion of paper butterflies filling the stadium and "Death And All His Friends", the song that closes the album.

The encores started with "The Scientist", the beautiful ballad from Coldplay's second album, again with the audience singing along. I've read that Chris martin was fooling around at the piano with the chords of George Harrison's "isn't It A Pity" and came up with this beautiful tune.

The concert ended with "Life In Technicolor ii" from their "Prospekt's March EP" and that was it, a splendid time was guaranteed for all. Thank you Coldplay!

Media Reviews

Some 63,000 people enjoyed last night’s concert by British band led by Chris Martin at the Monumental and through a major concert they showed why they are one of the most important groups of the current music scene in the world. The concert opened the Coldplay tour of Latin America presenting his latest album, Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends (2008), but also the thousands of fans were able to chant his previous hits from the album A Rush of Blood to the Head and X&Y. The concert opened with “Life in Technicolor” when a screen was displayed on the back of the stage with the image of Delacroix iconic work “Liberty Leading the People”. The energetic sound rattled the stadium with widespread applause from the audience. Then they continued with the songs “Violet Hill”, “Clocks” “In My Place” and “Yellow”, one of the greatest band hits. In total, the list included 25 songs wrapped in a large staging.

The fresh deployment of Chris Martin made the fans delight, especially when he tried to speak Spanish. He even threw his harmonica to the public after he interpreted songs from his old repertoire, but even among them he included Billy Jean by Michael Jackson, in honor of the late King of Pop. Thus, the English quartet composed of Chris Martin (vocals, keyboards, and guitar), Jon Buckland (guitar), Guy Berryman (Bass guitar), Will Champion (drums) presented a concert with a high level, with an excellent sound and games visuals that included public participation. While the stadium was dark for a few minutes, people with cell phones turned on, made the classical wave, while the melodies of Coldplay sounded in unison. Thousands of butterflies flew through the air Nuñez, at the end of the show and all contributed to a veritable feast of music.
